Alumni Involvement

Welcome Edgewater Crew Alumni
You see it everywhere in crew - the friendships made in rowing have a special bond that lasts for decades. You also find that the strongest programs have support from its alumni who choose to give back to the sport in many ways. Starting with this web page, Edgewater Crew provides a number of ways for its alumni to remain in contact with each other and to assist the team in its mission to instill excellence in rowing and at school to its student members. Please sign the Guest Book in the right-hand column of this page with a little information about yourself. We look forward to hearing from you.

Alumni News

Edgewater Masters win Nationals race
Our Masters Mens8 which won a gold medal at the USRowing Masters Nationals in Sarasota had 3 alumni rowers - John Poppiliers'00 at stroke, Bill Palmer'86 at bow and Sarah Ball'09 coxing them down the course to victory. Parent Alumni Kent Mitchell and James Payne (both also former ORA Board Presidents) were also in the lineup. The Mens8 had been training together since early Spring and put in many extra hours of training to achieve their results. We have had alumni from 4 different decades come train in the program in the past 5 years and all Edgewater Crew Alumni living in the greater Orlando area are invited to take part in the Edgewater Masters program.
